This traditional country pate is perfect for a gourmet gift basket, and it’s a great choice for a picnic. Keep it chilled until use, but take out of the fridge a few minutes before serving, so it’s not ice cold. Serves about 2 to 4 people.
This pate is made by Rougie, one of France’s premier foie gras producers, and one of the world’s most famous names in foie gras. Rougie is a French company that’s been producing some of the world’s finest foie gas since 1875. They raise their ducks in their own farms in Canada, fed with local-grown corn.
Ingredients: Duck, duck liver, pork, cream (milk, cream, carboxymethyl-cellulose, guar gum, carob gum, mono and diglycerides, carrageenan), whole liquid eggs, oranges, modified tapioca starch, orange liquor (cognac, brandy, natural extract, orange maceration, sugar, xanthan gum), salt, whey protein concentrate, garlic, pepper, nutmeg, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrites. Contains eggs and milk.
